Glenkinchie 12 Year Old
Glenkinchie serves as the Lowland expression that makes up Johnnie Walker blended whisky, adding a lightness, and floral, fruity components to the iconic blend. Their 12 Year Old flagship bottling sings with flavours of cut grass, green apple and lemon zest. The secret to the liquid's light nature is distillation using some of Scotland's largest stills, resulting in its fresh and aromatic taste.
Suntory Whisky Toki
Taking its name from the Japanese for 'time', Toki is created by the famous House of Suntory. This blended Japanese whisky reverses the traditional hierarchy of grain and malt whiskies to create an innovative whisky with a fresh character. The dram is bursting with complex fruity flavour - grapefruit, green apple and sweet grapes are undercut by notes of mint, thyme and basil. Gorgeous and refreshing!
Fettercairn 12 Year Old
A beauty of a Highland malt, the Fettercairn 12 Year Old shows off the distillery's classic tropical flavours best, bursting with notes of nectarine, pineapple, mango and guava. Bushmills 10 Year Old
A perfected light whisky from Ireland's oldest distillery, this decade old single malt is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured in sherry and bourbon seasoned barrels. The approachable and delightful dram won Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2022, for its lovely flavours of honey, mango, apple and vanilla.
Tobermory 12 Year Old
A spectacular single malt, hailing from the Isle of Mull, Tobermory 12 Year Old explodes with with sweet flavours of orchard fruits, citrusy tropical fruits. After winning Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2022, it has become a firm favourite as a smooth, light and fruity dram.
Tullamore DEW XO Caribbean Cask Finish
A splendid Irish whiskey from Tullamore Dew, this single malt has not only been triple distilled for a smooth and fruity style, but it has also benefited from a finish in Caribbean rum casks. This has made the whisky burst with flavours of sweet banana, alongside notes of caramel and vanilla.
Haig Club
The famous whisky made by David Beckham is a lovely and approachable dram. The liquid has been crafted using a unique process that combines grain whisky from three cask types. This creates a fresh, clean style and an ultra-smooth taste - perfect for drinking either neat, with ice or in cocktails. The fruits present in this blended whisky are more on the tropical side, with the dominant flavours being sweet honey, vanilla and caramel.
Glenmorangie X
Matured in a combination of bourbon casks and new char oak casks, this is a lovely and sweet dram is wonderfully smooth. With vibrant flavours of orange peel, and ripe pear, the single malt was created alongside some of the best bartenders in the world, specifically designed to pair well a variety of mixers. A fresh and zesty Highland dram!
Singleton of Dufftown 15 Year Old
A fruity Speyside dram, the Singleton of Dufftown is a subtle and well balanced dram, matured in a combination of European and American Oak casks. I prefer the 15 Year Old to the 12 Year Old, as this one is notably fruiter - with delectable flavours of toffee apple, poached pears and fruit salad sweets. I love this one in a classic Manhattan cocktail.
Noble Rebel Orchard Outburst Blended Malt
A brand-new range from Loch Lomond, this fabulous blended malt by Noble Rebel celebrates the orchard fruit flavours often found in Scotch. Orchard Outburst is a fresh mix of fruity flavour and sea spray, with tart notes of apple, pear, lemon and lime complicated by flavours of sea breeze and salty popcorn. An experimental yet approachable blend which I have very quickly become a big fan of!
