Macduff

The Macduff distillery is located in the North East coast of Scotland on the banks of the River Deveron, making it the most easterly distillery in Scotland. Opened relatively late, in 1960, the distillery is often known as Glen Deveron, with independent bottlings carrying the MacDuff branding. These account for fewer than half a million bottles each year, as it is mostly produced for the blended whiskies of its current owners, John Dewar and Sons, such as William Lawson’s. Most of the single malt bottlings are exported to Europe, where the MacDuff brand has a much higher profile.
