The distillery was built in 1836 by Robert Hay, and was then purchased by John Grant in 1865. It remains in the hands of the Grant family to this day.
Nose: Sherry with a sweet maltiness, honeyed vanilla and peardrops.
Palate: Lighter malt, continuing sherried sweetness, dried fruit and cinnamon with a hint of smoke.
Finish: Long, smooth and spicy with delicate smoke.
