Kilchoman Maury Cask Matured Description

Our Hamish has had a sip and jotted down his thoughts.
A striking crimson hue sets the tone, and the nose delivers dates, raisins, and fig jam layered over dark honey and treacle, with Kilchoman's gentle peat smoke rising underneath alongside orange peel, toasted oak, and a wine-soaked richness of black cherry and cocoa. The palate brings molasses, sultanas, and stewed berries into conversation with earthy island peat, while marmalade, liquorice, and spiced oak weave through to add complexity. The finish lingers gloriously: dark fruit, sticky toffee, a breath of peat smoke, and a parting note of orange zest and soft oak spice.
