Glenglassaugh was founded in 1867 and is located in the Glassaugh Glen, very close to the sea on the North East of Scotland. Often considered as in between a Highland and Speyside malt, this distillery has struggled with multiple owners and has gone in and out of production many times in the last century. It started to produce again in 2008 and in 2013 was taken over by Benriach Distillery Company who have brought to the party renowned expertise and creativity.
