This Highland malt from Knockdhu distillery is a peated expression of the anCnoc single malt, made using malted barley peated to 40ppm (phenol parts per million) and filled to bourbon casks to mature in the traditional dunnage warehouses at the distillery for over ten years.
Nose: a smoky burst followed by ripe pears, citrus fruits, apples and a touch of tobacco.
Palate: smoky and sweet with stewed apples, leather, chocolate, vanilla and lemon.
Finish: warm with a lingering floral smokiness.
