Caol Ila

Caol Ila is situated on the North of Islay, and was built in 1847. Loch Nam Ban is the water source for these rich and characterful whiskies, typical of the region, as the waters pass through peat and limestone before being distilled. A range of Single malt bottlings has been introduced in recent years, but most of the whisky produced is used in blends such as Johnnie Walker and Black Bottle.
